Issue(11) December 1, 2014
Dear members and friends,
2014 is coming to an end soon. In this final issue
of the year, this section will provide a story about
the research and training at Harvard anesthesia
departments. The article by Forman, et
al. reviews
the history of Harvard Anesthesia Departments, its
current structure, and Harvard training programs.
There are currently four academic hospitals with
anesthesia departments that are affiliated with
Harvard Medical School: Boston Children's Hospital,
Brigham and Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess
Medical Center, and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).
Over the past two decades, many Chinese American
Anesthesiologists have worked in the Harvard
Institutions and made significant contributions to
the missions of Harvard Anesthesia Departments in
the areas of patient care, education, and research.
