Happy Chinese New Year Greeting From CASA

Dear CASA members,

On behalf of the Chinese American Society of Anesthesiology(CASA), I wish you and your family a happy and healthy Chinese New Year.

It is a great honor for me to serve the CASA as president for 2010-2011.
Thank you for your great support in the past. As an early member of the Society, I witnessed the growth of the CASA. The CASA started from local first, then reached to the national and international. Meanwhile, the CASA has established several committees to accommodate the CASA tasks, such as: International Affair Committee, Scholar Exchange Committee, Public Relation Committee, Event Committee, Medical Mission Committee, CME and Review Course Committee, and so on.

With your great contribution, the CASA has made such great achievement.
So far, the CASA has sent six delegations to the Chinese Society of Anesthesiology (CSA) annual meeting. The delegation has been well recognized and very welcome by the Chinese colleagues. At this moment, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the leadership team of the CSA to accommodate and cooperate with the CASA delegation. Besides the delegation, there are so many members spent their own time to give lectures and/or presentations at different locations and meetings in US, China and other countries. Please visit our website: www.chineseasa.org for more detail information.

The CASA was established in Feb. 2003. I am glad to inform you that the CASA has just held it 6th Annual meeting at the Pocono Manor in PA. We not only had academic presentations, financial lecture, but also enjoyed the excellent performance of the professional entertainer and delicious food. Most of the board members in the tri-state area attended the meeting. That includes the past presidents,  Haiming Wang, MD, Haifeng Zhou, MD, PhD, Guogang Chen, MD, the president, Changzheng Wang, MD,  Vice-president, Liaoyang Xie, MD, Secretary Xiaoli He, MD,  Treasure Tina Leung, MD, PhD, etc. Dr. Tina Leung was awarded the Excellent Serve Award for her dedicated contribution to the CASA.

The CASA is open to everyone. Please share your concerns, suggestions and voice with the board members, delegates and committee leaders. Please communicate with the CASA through the email: chineseasa@yahoo.com. Your continuous support and involvement in all the CASA activities in different ways are greatly appreciated!

As we did before, let's work together to achieve our goal and our mission, to serve the community, to promote the safe anesthesia practice, and to improve the patient care.

Sincerely,
Changzheng Wang, MD
President, CASA
